Aldrenor’s editorial mission is to interpret the forces shaping African and global business, markets, policy, technology, culture, leadership and development.
We are not looking for casual content, gossip, propaganda, sensationalism or unverified commentary. We are looking for contributors who care about accuracy, insight, professional discipline, Africa’s global relevance, diaspora intelligence and high-quality media.
These standards apply to all contributors under the Aldrenor Global Contributor & Intelligence Fellowship.
Accuracy is the foundation of Aldrenor’s credibility.
Contributors must make reasonable efforts to ensure that all facts, names, dates, figures, quotes, titles, institutions and claims are accurate before submission.
Contributors should not submit information they cannot verify.
Where uncertainty exists, it should be clearly stated.
Contributors should use reliable sources.

Multilateral institution reports
Academic research
Credible news organisations
Direct interviews
Verified data sources
Recognised industry reports

Contributors should avoid relying on unverified social media posts, rumours, anonymous claims, weak blogs or unsupported opinion as factual evidence.
Every article, analysis, research note or interview summary should be checked before submission.
Contributors should verify:

Financial figures
Locations
Direct quotes
Statistics
Policy references
Legal or regulatory claims
Links and source references
Aldrenor may request source links, documents, recordings, notes or verification materials before publication.
All submitted work must be original.
Contributors must not copy, rewrite or lightly modify another person’s work without proper attribution.
Plagiarism, fabricated reporting, fake sources, manipulated quotes or recycled content presented as original work may lead to immediate removal from the programme.
AI tools may support research organisation, drafting assistance, transcription, summarisation or grammar review where permitted, but they must not replace human judgement, original reporting or editorial responsibility.
Contributors must disclose material use of AI tools when submitting work.
AI-generated content must be checked for accuracy, originality, bias, copyright risk and fabricated information.
Aldrenor may decline content that appears generic, unsupported, machine-generated, inaccurate or inconsistent with its editorial tone.
Contributors must disclose any conflict of interest.
This includes financial, political, commercial, employment, family, institutional or personal interests connected to a topic, person, company, government, party, fund, organisation or event being covered.
Contributors must not use Aldrenor to promote undisclosed clients, employers, political interests, investments or personal relationships.
Aldrenor distinguishes between reporting, analysis and opinion.
Reporting should focus on verified facts.
Analysis should explain meaning, implications, risks and context based on evidence.
Opinion should be clearly labelled and grounded in argument, relevance and accountability.
Opinion should not be disguised as reporting.
Sponsored, partner or studio content must not be disguised as independent editorial work.
Aldrenor’s tone should be serious, clear, globally aware and institutionally credible.
Contributors should avoid:
Gossip
Clickbait
Sensationalism
Partisan attacks
Inflammatory language
Unsupported claims
Casual insults
Overly promotional language
Unverified allegations
Shallow commentary
Contributors should prioritise clarity, evidence, context, balance and usefulness to serious audiences.
Aldrenor may cover politics, entertainment, culture, lifestyle and sport, but such coverage should be framed through a premium lens.

Low-value celebrity gossip, viral noise and sensational crime stories without wider relevance are not suitable for Aldrenor.

Aldrenor Intelligence products should be useful to executives, investors, policymakers, researchers, sponsors and premium subscribers.
Aldrenor takes corrections seriously.
If a contributor becomes aware of an error in their submitted or published work, they must notify Aldrenor as soon as possible.
Aldrenor may correct, update, clarify, withdraw or annotate content where required.
Contributors must not submit copyrighted images, videos, audio, charts, documents or media assets unless they have permission or the material is properly licensed for use.
All images, charts, graphics and media assets must be cleared before publication.
Contributors must provide source details for any third-party materials.
Sensitive topics require extra care.
These include:

Corporate wrongdoing
Human rights claims
Financial misconduct

If the answer is no, the content should be revised before submission.
Aldrenor contributors are expected to help build a serious media and intelligence institution. Every contribution should strengthen trust, insight, Africa’s global voice and the quality of public conversation.
